The Hriya people, a mysterious indigenous tribe, are said to be as old as the Amazon Rainforest itself, some 55 million years. They reside in hidden valleys and deep jungles, in liminal realms known by few. As civilizations rise and fall, the Hriya remain and remember. It is said that at the beginning and the end of worlds, the Priestesses of Astera send one of their own to the Hriya, to partake in the Rite of Renewal, Hieros gamos. When she is with the Hriya, Lila Sophia is sent to meet Theo and fulfill her destiny.
